DoD promotes fitness through Civilian Fitness, Fitness Challenge programs
Attention Department of Army civilian employees. Lace up your sneakers and get ready to get fit with the Civilian Fitness Program. The Civilian Fitness Program allows DA civilian employees (appropriated fund, non-appropriated fund and local national), with their supervisors’ approval, to be excused from work for up to three hours per week for up to six months to increase their physical fitness. This program is intended to help employees make positive behavioral changes and establish a solid fitness foundation. Participating in the Civilian Fitness Program can help relieve stress, minimize health risks and improve morale.
