Back-to-School Expo
A Back-to-School Expo will feature booths, community information, carnival games, giveaways, entertainment and face painting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Exchange on Hainerberg.

SFL-TAP
The Soldier For Life – Transition Assistance Program offers a variety of workshops, such as Transition Overview, MOS Crosswalk, Financial Planning, VA Benefits and Services, DOL Employment Workshop, Continuum of Military Service and more. Mommy and Me Art
The Wiesbaden Arts and Crafts Center features Mommy and Me Art events from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every second and fourth Friday of the month. The free art sessions include a variety of arts and crafts. Sign up at the center or call (0611) 143-548-9838.

Play in the Playground
Army Community Service’s New Parent Support Program invites children and their parents for a play date at local playgrounds throughout the summer. The next play date is from 10-11:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Aukamm Playground (between Hessen Strasse and Wuerttemberg Strasse).

Spouse Orientation
Network with subject matter experts, meet fellow spouses and learn more about your home away from home during Spouse Orientation from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at Army Community Service. Register one week in advance for free child care. Call (0611) 143-548-9201.

College money
Parents are invited to two different 90-minute presentations on learning how to navigate the college application process and find the money to pay for it. The Sept. 16 session topics are Get College Ready, Gratitude Initiative, Picking the Right College (For You) and Finances and Financial Aid. The Sept. 30 session topics are Scholarships, The College Application Essay, Local Colleges and Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Auto Skills can help
The Wiesbaden Automotive Skills Center on Clay Kaserne North offers services including wheel alignment, tire pressure monitor system repair, basic maintenance class for spouses and more. Call (0611) 143-548-6679.

Host Nation Orientation
Host Nation Orientation is a way for newcomers to learn about German culture, language, public transportation, and tips about living in our community. Guitar and bass lessons
Enjoy individual electric and acoustic guitar lessons or electric bass guitar lessons for adults at the Wiesbaden Arts and Crafts Center. Lessons are 30 minutes long and generally available from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Call (0611) 143-548-9838.

ACS classes
Army Community Service offers free classes throughout the month, including Army Family Team Building training, a resume seminar, banking and checking accounts and home buying. Harry Potter:
Back to Hogwarts
The wizards and witches at the Wiesbaden Library invite all Harry Potter fans, wizards and muggles to celebrate the start of the new school year during the Harry Potter: Back to Hogwarts event on Sept. 19 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Enjoy crafts, photo ops and Potter trivia. Come dressed as your favorite character.

Disney’s Frozen Jr.’
The Amelia Earhart Playhouse presents “Disney’s Frozen Jr.” from Sept. 20 to Oct. 6. Play dates are Sept. 20, 21, 27, 28, Oct. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m.; Sept. 22, 29 and Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. Purchase tickets at the Playhouse or Wiesbaden Arts and Crafts Center.

CYS Special Opening

Canvas and Corkscrews
Painters from beginners to advanced are invited to an evening of socializing and creating art at the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center at 6 p.m.Sept. 6. SHARP symposium
