Sexual Assault Awareness Month events
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Wiesbaden Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention invites the community to participate in the events throughout the month. Empowerment Training hosted by 2nd Signal Brigade is April 22-30, including a free self-defense class 9-11 a.m. April 22 and 23 at the fitness center (B court). April 30 is an arts and crafts contest 11 a.m. to noon at the Clay Kaserne Arts and Crafts Center. There will be a free movie night and face painting April 30 at the Clay Chapel 6-8 p.m. 66th Military Intelligence Brigade hosts a “SHARP Amazing Race” 6:30-9 a.m. April 24 at the 1st MI Hangar from. Second (Indianhead) Division reunion
The Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time. Community spring clean-up
The community-wide spring clean-up is May 18-21. The Self-Help Issue Point at Building 7802 on Mississippistrasse in Hainerberg Housing and the Department of Public Works Building 01557 on Clay Kaserne has lawn and garden tools and equipment as well as recycling and “green waste” bags available. The drop-off point for batteries, household hazardous waste and tires is the Recyling Center on Clay Kaserne, Building 2450. On May 21 the housing area is residents’ place of duty for spring clean-up and special bulk trash/green waste pick-up is scheduled for May 22. MS support group

USO seeks volunteers

The Wiesbaden American Red Cross offers free and confidential reconnection workshops for military families going through redeployment. Workshops address communicating clearly and focus on topics such as exploring stress and trauma, identifying depression, relating to children and working through anger. Fellowship, Bible study
The Protestant Women of the Chapel host fellowship, worship and Bible study every Tuesday from 9-11:30 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Hainerberg Chapel. Child care is provided.
Nursing babies, mothers and mothers-to-be are invited to the La Leche League meetings held on the fourth Friday of the month (the third Fridays in November and December) at 10 a.m. at the USO Cottage in Hainerberg Housing. Car seat checkups
The Family Advocacy Program holds car seat checkups the last Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center parking lot. Call civ (0611) 143-548-9201 to register.
Soldier and civilian sponsorship training is held the third Thursday of every month from 1:30-2 p.m. at the Education Center on Clay Kaserne (Classroom 8).
Youth of the Chapel
The High School Outreach Club meets Mondays from 5:30-7:15 p.m. The Middle School Outreach Club meets Tuesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. and a Bible Study group meets Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The clubs and groups meet in Building 7750 in Hainerberg Housing.
