Driver’s Ed
Driver’s Education for high school students will be offered beginning in January. Courses include theory and simulator training, behind-the-wheel instruction on post and a German driver’s license course. For more information, contact Parent Central Services at (0611) 143-548-9356.


BOSS Trivia Night

Customer Appreciation Month
The Vault Club and Casino will kick off the new year by celebrating its patrons and welcoming new customers with various programs including: Ladies Night with DJ Spike from 7 p.m. to midnight on Jan. 5 and 6; pool tournaments from 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 and 26; Throwback Jersey Night with DJ Spike will be Jan. 19 and 27. Spanish Language Story Time
Children up to age 6 are invited to enjoy stories, songs and more in Spanish during Pre-School Story Time at the Wiesbaden Library every second Tuesday of the month (starting Jan. 9) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Call the library at (0611) 143-548-9821 for more information.


EFMP Bowling
Every month on the second Wednesday, the Exceptional Family Member Program sponsors a free bowling night at the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center for Soldiers, civilians and retirees with Family members who have special needs. This is a good opportunity for children and parents to meet other community members, as well as to connect with EFMP and support staff to discover available resources. Basic Car Maintenance
Learn Basic Car Maintenance from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Wiesbaden Automotive Skills Center. Topics will include fluid checks, jump starting vehicles, changing tires, checking tire pressure and oil changes. Cost is $10 per person. Call (0611) 143-548-9817 to reserve a space in the class.

Amelia Earhart musical
Wiesbaden’s Amelia Earhart Playhouse will present the quirky musical, “Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach” Jan. 6 and 7, 12 to 14 and 19 to 21. Show time is 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Follow the adventures of James Henry Trotter as he deals with losing his parents to a hungry rhino, living with pickpocketing aunts, magic potions and accidentally creating a giant peach. Mid-Month Makers
The Wiesbaden Library invites patrons to get creative during Mid-Month Maker events: Jan. 17 – Duct Tape Madness for teens age 13 and up; Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Cards for children ages 7 to 12; March 14 – Jewelry Making for adults age 18 and up; April 18 – Clock on a Block for teens age 13 and up. Playhouse auditions
Auditions for the musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 and 17 at the Amelia Earhart Playhouse. Commemorate WWI
The Wiesbaden Library will hosts several events to commemorate the Centennial of World War I. On Jan. 25 hear Lt. Col. Russell M. Spry discuss the legacy of Medal-of-Honor recipient Sgt. Alvin Cullum York. On Feb. 1 enjoy a movie screening at the Tony Bass Auditorium of “Big Parade,” a silent film from 1925 with dramatic footage from the war. On Feb. 15 hear Ronald Locklar discuss issues leading up to the outbreak of the war. All events begin at 4:30 p.m., are free and no registration is required. American Girl Doll Social
Children ages 6 and older are invited to enjoy an American Girl Doll Social at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at the Wiesbaden Library.
