PWOC Fall kick off
The Wiesbaden Protestant Women of the Chapel will kick off their Fall semester of studies starting Sept. 13. Renew your mind with God’s Word, meet new friends, enjoy fellowship, food, praise, worship and Bible studies with the PWOC every Tuesday at the Clay Kaserne Chapel. Play in the playground
The New Parent Support Program hosts play dates for families with preschoolers at alternating locations during the summer months. Parents are invited to socialize with other parents while their children play. The last playdates this summer are Sept. 9 and 23 at Hainerberg Housing, Californiastrasse behind Bldg. 7741. Back to Hogwarts
Calling all Harry Potter fans, wizards and Muggles. Celebrate the first days back to school at the Wiesbaden Li­brary with a free “Harry Potter, Back to Hogwarts” event Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m. It’ll feature sto­ries, crafts and a Harry Potter trivia contest. No registration is necessary — just stop by and enjoy the fun.

Preschool story time
The Wiesbaden Library hosts story time in the children’s section every Thursday start­ing Sept. 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. Children up to age 6 can enjoy stories, sing songs and make crafts while their parents pick up literary tips.

Put it on canvas
Enjoy creating art while sipping the beverage of your choice at the Wiesbaden Enter­tainment Center Lounge, Sept. 2 or 16 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $45 including all painting supplies. Rob Lake magic show
Illusionist and magician Rob Lake will perform a free show Sept. 26 from 8 to 10 p.m. at Hanger 1069 on Clay Kaserne. Wandering club event
Everyone is invited to par­ticipate in the 3rd Annual Volks­march hosted by the Wiesbaden International Wandering Club, Oct. 1 and 2. The event starts at Burgerhaus Delkenheim (Munchener strasse 2, 65205 Wiesbaden-Delkenheim). Par­ticipants can choose from 5K, 12K and 20K distances. Visit a different German restaurant every month as part of the Army Community Service Relocation Readiness “Mahlzeit Mit Frau Irmgard” program. UMUC Europe is offering a $2,000 Spouse of Service member (SOS) Scholarship to help military spouses fund their education. Both new and current undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. Learn German
Are you looking for an inexpensive and effective way to learn German? The USO is offering a German Level I extended language course from Sept. 27 to Nov. 10. Classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Wiesbaden Cot­tage from 6 to 8 p.m. and cost $120 per person. No previous experience necessary. Army Community Services offers free conversation-based classes at ACS.
