Army Birthday Run
U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden is celebrating the 241st Birthday of the U.S. Army with a fun run, June 14 at 6:20 a.m. starting at the USAREUR Headquarters Flag Pole. All Wiesbaden community members, including family pets (on leashes), are invited to participate. Service members are required to wear their service’s authorized physical fitness uniform. Travel alert for Europe
The U.S. Department of State has released a travel warning for all of Europe. U.S. European Command encourages all military members and their famillies to be aware as they make travel plans. As an additional safety measure consider enrolling in the STEP program at to receive travel alerts and updates.

Parking Lot Closure
The Wiesbaden Fitness Center parking lot will be closed and must be cleared of vehicles June 17 to 20 for the Lucas Hoge concert. The parking lot will reopen June 21. The racquetball court will also be closed June 20 for the event.

Passport processing resumes
Effective immediately, the Frankfurt U.S. Consulate will no longer process Tourist Passport applications. Tourist applications must go through the Passport Office on Clay Kaserne at Bldg. 1023 East by appointment only. To make an appointment go to Office hours are Mon. through Wed. and Fri. 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.; Thursday 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m.

Proper vehicle disposal
PCSing? There are a variety of ways to properly dispose of your vehicle prior to PCS to include: shipping, selling, or donating it. Refer to Army in Europe Regulation 190-1 for instructions. Personnel who depart without shipping/properly disposing of their vehicle will be charged in a MP report for vehicle abandonment. Plan ahead by making an appointment at vehicle registration now. Appointments are conducted 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on duty days, except the last business day of each month. Call DSN 548-7819.
