Registration open for virtual career fair

WIESBADEN, Germany – A virtual career fair supported by the U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program will take place Sept. 16 from 10 a.

m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (4-10 p.m. German time) for transitioning service members and spouses.

“The fact that COVID restrictions inhibit us from having an in-person event does not mean we cannot support the community with virtual hiring events,” said Barbara Barnett, USAG Wiesbaden Transition Services Manager. “SFL still has a large list of hiring opportunities and other virtual career fair options for transitioning Soldiers and spouses.”

Preregistration at is required and should be done 48 hours in advance, Barnett said. Once registered, people will receive a list of different employers, who they can meet in different virtual rooms.

So far, 40 employers are on the list, she said.

Service members are encouraged to approach SFL-TAP to learn about more virtual hiring events for local police departments, government entities, Fortune 500 companies as well as entrepreneurial opportunities, Barnett said.
