STEM summer camps
The Robotics STEM camp will be held Aug. 17-21 from 8 a.m. to noon. The STEM summer camp for Marine Technology will be held Aug. 10-14. Both camps are open to sixth through ninth graders and will be held at the Wiesbaden High School Engineering Lab. End of school
June 11 is the last day of school and is a half day for both elementary schools, the middle school and the high school.

High school happenings
June 5 is graduation at the Kurhaus; June 12 is a teacher work day; June 13 is ACT test day; and Aug. 31 is the first day of school. Summer office hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting June 15.


School registration
All Department of Defense Dependents Schools students, current and future, must register or re-register. Parents are urged not to wait until August. Schools are open all summer for registration.

Language immersion programs
Hainerberg Elementary School is offering a kindergarten through second grade Spanish immersion program and a grades 1-3 German immersion program.
If you are interested in applying for your child’s consideration in one of these programs, contact the main office.

Bright Eyes program
Eligibility for this program has been extended for the remainder of the school year to those who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program.
The Wiesbaden Community Spouses Club sponsors the program, which provides eyeglasses to children in need.

EMT certification possible through CTC

Hainerberg Sure Start
Hainerberg Elementary School continues to accept applications for their Sure Start pre- school program.
Children 4 years of age prior to Sept. 1, 2015 are eligible. There is priority placement for children of sponsors E-4 and below.
