Summer sports enrollment
Enrollment for summer sports is now through July 29. The following programs are for children 2 to 18 years old: Start Smart Soccer, Start Smart Flag Football, Start Smart Golf, Start Smart Basketball, Youth Fitness Camps: Plyometrics and Speed Training, Cheer Day Camp and Varsity Cheer Day Camp, Hyper Evolution Football Camp, Outdoor Dodgeball, Summer Bowling and Soccer Camp. Youth sports physicals
All children eligible to participate in youth sports and fitness programs and school activities must have an annual physical. The Wiesbaden Army Health Clinic is offering youth physicals by appointment only to non-enrollees (family members of DoD civilians/contractors/DoDEA) July 22 from 1 to 3:45 p.m. To make an appointment call DSN 590-1303. Army Dependents can book a youth physical during any regular day appointment.

Diamond’s Elite Baseball Camp
IMCOM-E and Child, Youth and School Services is partnering with DoDEA, Major League Baseball, and Dinger Bats to host Diamond’s Elite Baseball Camp in Wiesbaden’s Newman Village July 18 to 22. Camp is limited to 10 participants and geared towards elite baseball and softball players ages 13 to 18 (on or before July 18, 2016) as the training will be a MLB-type clinic to showcase players to scouts. Strongest Warrior 2016
Compete for bragging rights as Wiesbaden’s “Strongest Warrior,” June 25 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. This multi-strength competition will include squats with increasing load, deadlifts for maximum weight, yoke-carry or farmer’s walk with kettlebells for a set distance, a tire-flips relay and sandbag throws. Prizes awarded to the top three male and female competitors with first place receiving a custom weight belt. Call DSN 548-9830.

Wiesbaden Duathlon
Register today for the second annual Dirty 30 Duathlon Sept. 17 on Clay Kaserne at 9 a.m. The competitive event is a five-mile run, 20-mile bike followed by another five-mile run. Register at Registration costs $15 before July 31, $20 before Sept. 7 and $25 before Sept. 15. Call DSN 548-9837.

Paddlers wanted
The “Lazy Dragons” dragon boat team needs older teen/adult paddlers from Wiesbaden who can commit to training every Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the Wassersport-Verein Schierstein.
