Europa Park
Have a ball on the many rides and amusements at Germany’s largest amusement park, April 16. $99 per adult; $89 for ages 5-12; $59 for ages 4 and under includes round-trip transportation and entrance to the park. Open studios
Don’t miss the chance to get an exclusive look at the works of seven artists, opening their doors on April 16 from 5 p.m. to midnight and April 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Children and artists are welcome to participate in an open workshop throughout the event. Health and vitality
Happiness – Days of Health and Vitality will be at the Kurhause Kolonnade April 16 and 17. This family-friendly, free event offers yoga classes, health food products and recipes, and information on living better through mindfullness, good nutrition and exercise. Stadt Theater tour
Get a behind the scenes tour of the State Theater Darmstadt every second Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. Participants will go backstage and see dressing rooms, props, stage workshops, a wig workshop and more during this 60 minutes tour through the theater. Neroberg Kletterwald Park
Climb from tree top to tree top while overlooking the city of Wiesbaden at the “Kletterwald” (climbing forest) park in Neroberg. The climbing park consists of several courses of varying heights and levels of difficulty. Safety gear and instructions are provided by the staff. All courses are self-guided. Magic Bike Rüdesheim
Join hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts for a ride through the Rheinvalley during the 16th Magic Bike Rüdesheim am Rhein, May 26-29. The Middle Rhein Valley is an ideal motor bike region with beautiful routes along the Rhine and the hills of the Taunus and Hunsrück. Visit Hängeseilbrücke in Geierlay
A visit to Germany’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Geierlay is a family and pocket-book friendly outing that can be enjoyed by all ages. The Hängeseilbrücke just opened in October 2015 and is quite impressive at 360 meters long and 100 meters high. A visit to cross the bridge is free; however parking in the town of Geierlay will cost 2€. There is a 1.7 kilometer walk to the bridge from the visitor center (Kastellaun Straße 23, 56290 Mörsdorf) Strollers are possible on the walk, but are not recommended to take across the bridge.
